Club Lib
The music was thumping with a steady beat, strobe lights glittering on dancing, gyrating Chattanoogans, some in golden cages. A fantastic ice sculpture and Black Tie Affair bartender made chilled martinis for people swaying to the crooning of a pianist and throaty jazz singer.
Noogan men cheered their teams playing in technicolor on huge screens as their wives signed bid sheets at a silent auction, eyes glittering at the trove of eclectic tresures, couples meeting in the quiet alcove occupied by several very busy massage therapists.
A red carpet walk began and ended this amazing night at Chattanooga's premier hotspot. Club Lib at the Chattanooga Hamilton County Bicentennial Library was the place to be Saturday night.
